Scooter

With the promise of rain lingering behind the sun and clouds,  I am reclining in the chair fighting with myself as to whether I should go on and take Murphee girl for a walk. As I'm gazing out the picture window in my living room looking for the white squirrel that hops along the yard across the street, I see our next door neighbor is already up and at it.  He and his four-legged side kick, Scooter, (Scooter-butt to me and Murphee girl) are out for a Sunday drive. Scooter sitting proudly in the passenger seat just happy to be included in his human dad's plans for this morning, whether it is a drive to the nearby mountains or just a short drive to get breakfast. He is happy.

Every day when I arrive home from work and let Murphee out to enjoy the fresh air after being cooped up in the house all day, Scooter is waiting on us at the adjoining fence. Just waiting to be greeted or maybe get a small treat I have for him.

The neighborhood is walking up now,  so I better get to it.  So I will go for that walk now.

I will post a picture of him later.

Why is it that it doesn't matter where a person works,  there are always those that get by with doing absolutely nothing....

I. Just. Don't. Get. It.

On a brighter note...

This sweet girl always makes me feel better when I come through the door after a long day's work.   She greets me at the door with
tail wagging wanting some loving.

Anna this crazy weather we are having busy blows me away.  One day it's sunny and warm, the next day it's raining and miserable.  Only thing I'm thankful for is that we are not neck deep in snow and blizzard conditions.

It's been a while....

I think the last time I  posted here was 2010. Wow, nine years. There has been a lot of changes in my life since then!

I have been blessed with three more grandchildren, Shay,  Mya and Jayda all of whom have joined the ranks of my son, Nicholas and his wife, Savannah.

I was divorced in 2009 and moved back to my hometown of Travelers Rest. Several years later I remarried. Arthur was 2 grades ahead of me in school. One of his brothers was in the same grade as me and I  knew of Arthur. Of course, if you ask Arthur he will tell you I didn't know him! But,  he says he knew who I was! Wonder how?

So, in October Arthur and I bought a house after renting for several years. Same neighborhood as my sister and brother-in-law which is nice.

Well, I have caught you up pretty much. But there is more to come...

Stay tuned...

Goofy Girls!

Annual Hendersonville Christmas Trip, 2010, we had a blast. This picture here is of two goofy girls, on left is my daughter, Natasha, who is more like my sister and on the right is my sister's daughter, Asheton, who is more like me. They were clowning around waiting on me, mom and Deborah as we browsed around the Hospice Store.

It was so cold, but there was no snow this year. We really ran out of time this year, and ended up exchanging our gifts with each other at Krispy Kreme on the way back home. We usually do it while we are eating lunch, but we ate on Main Street and did not have the gifts with us. And it was too cold to go back to the car and get them. We all had silly glasses on and all of us eventually had our picture taken sitting in this tub!

I think next year, it will be time to introduce Natasha's oldest daughter, Allyssa, to this part of our lives that "no man shall be allowed" !!!!!!! Wup!!!

I need Spring.....
Although I enjoy getting a little cold and having a small amount of snow before Spring arrives, I have decided today that this is enough of the cold weather....

Back in November the day before Thanksgiving, i was at work and had a chick-fil-a sandwich that i was going to heat in the microwave for lunch. Now I know in the back of my mind that these sandwiches are wrapped in a foil-lined wrap, but didn't think one minute about tossing that sandwich in the microwave..... i was standing there, just waiting on the timer to "ding", listening to the jibber-jabber of co-workers as they were eating lunch, when another co-worker, stumbling over her words was telling me to check my sandwich, it was on fire....yes, you heard correctly it was on fire, so intelligent me opens the door, pulls out the sandwich and proceeds to blow out the flames, of course black ashes are floating and flying everywhere, co-workers stop jibbing and are watching me not sure of what just happened! The first thing I thought of was grabbing the fire extinguisher, then deciding against it, than I thought, crap, what am I going to do for lunch now.....

Believe it or not, my sandwich was not harmed in this catastrophe and lunch continued in the canteen as usual...... Of course, after lunch several people asked me what happen and I reiterated the story with my laughing so hard at myself that I could hardly tell them what happen.

Life goes on....

Now since it has been sooo dang cold outside, I took my lunch on Friday, plus my Mom had told me she had plans so we were not going to meet as usual for our Friday lunch. I get to work about to freeze in my tracks, because, let's face it, I DO NOT LIKE COLD WEATHER AND IT WAS IN THE LOW 20'S, so I am trying to get everything together to jump in my truck to head to work. Go to walk out the door and what happens? I drop my lunch, I bend down to pick it up and head on out to my vehicle and head to work. Get in the parking lot, park, turn ignition off, put keys in pocketbook. I already have the plan in my mind as I get ready to get out, slowly walking fast, if that is possible, to get inside. Employee badge, check, pocket book, check, my "down-time-never-g0-anywhere-without-it" bag with my "emergency equipment" of a Food Network magazine, calendar, new book about journal spilling, and of course my colored pencils and markers, check, coffee, check, coat zipped up, check, lunch, check.

I get out of the truck and start to walk and what happens, yes, i dropped my lunch AGAIN. Now i had a plate of pork chop, green beans, creamed potatoes and a canned pepsi and a energy drink. After a few choices thoughts, I reach down to get the lunch and hoping that it mostly stayed in the container, saying to myself, "I don't believe this is happening, not once, but twice".

I get inside safely without the psycho lunch harming anymore precious time, clock in and go to my work space to try and salvage it. Now the container it was in was tin pie plate which had a plastic cover that fit snuggly over it, before it has been dropped 2 times. The second I pull it out of the bag to rearrange it, my friend at work says, "Nancy, you can't heat that at lunch in that pie plate. You know that, right?" Heck no, I wasn't thinking about that and Heck yes I would have put it in there. So now I have to find a paper plate to change everything.

My day proceeds smoothly thinking the whole time how good lunch was going to be, finally lunch arrives. I take my mouth-watering lunch to the breakroom to heat up, put it in the microwave, everything is going well, then I get ready to take it out and the plastic cover has started to melt, just my luck. I was thinking to myself, I hope no one has seen this idiot pulling another one of her crazy stunts. I quickly get it out and nearly run out the door to get back to my lunch table.

As it turns out, nothing was ruined and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch to the fullest. Just another day in the life of me!!!

Undescribable....

Today is a day I don't think I will forget for a while. I had a major personal think happen today that I am not ready to discuss with anyone else right now. I am not sure what is going to happen in the next month.

We have Allyssa tonight. She is watching the Magical Kingdom with jet li with Papa. She is such a mess...

Natasha is going through some rough times as well and not sure what the outcome of that is going to be.

Maybe in a couple of days, weeks, who knows, I can get it all down in writing, but right now it is difficult to come to terms with.

I'm back!

Ok, I know it has been nearly a year since I last logged in and I hope to change that with this post! Allyssa has just turned 8 years old, Dakota turned 3 in October and Reagan turned one in December!

To catch up on my medical status, the last post was about the test on my gallbladder being negative and I was referred to a gastrointerologist who set me up for a colonoscopy. 3 medium and 1 small polyp later and the prescriptions for a some type of bacteria I am still have problems with my digestion. Don't really have the pain I was having though. So I am just dealing with it for now!
I am still working at T&S totally been moved away from devil child. I work in shipping now and love it!

Nick and Ashley are expecting a little boy (my first grandson) in February, woo-hoo! Natasha is done having babies, woo-hoo!

Vincent became the proud owner of "Vincent's Watersports" in June! He was actually working there before when it was "Hendrix Watersports", but Lance wanted out so he turned the business over to Vincent!

The only pets we have now are Hanzo our 1 year old Long-Haired German Shepherd and Miss Kitty our 9 year old tabby!

One of our neighbors was diagnosed with breast cancer about 3 months ago. She has started chemo and is doing great. She has lost her hair but is doing well with that also. She is a hairdresser so she has her wig styled just right! She still has Mazey (short for Amazing Grace) who is taller than Hanzo, but they play together all the time! She usually gets the best of Hanzo, maybe because he lets her, hmmm?

OK, I think that this is enough for now!

Windy Monday...

Today was a "sick" day for me. I woke up this morning and as I started to get ready for work, it just did not want to deal with it. So I took a sick day. I had lunch with Mom and Allyssa (since school was out due to the President's Day holiday, and then I came home and have done NOTHING except play around in my journal. My brother Wayne texted me with a copy of a book asking of that is the kind of book I have been looking for. (I have been looking for hard-back approx. 200 page, books to make altered books from.) I said yes. He and Tina were at the Greenville Habitat for Humanity Store on Rutherford Road and found some that he was going to pick up for me. Sweet! Mom and Allyssa were going to see little Miss Mary (Hudson) from church who is in a nursing home right now for rehabilation. Miss Mary loves Allyssa and Allyssa loves to go visit her. Allyssa has enjoyed going to nursing homes since she was around 3 years old.
The wind of blowing something fierce outside. I am waiting on the roof of the house to blow right off. I can imagine how two of the Three Little Pigs felt when the big bad wolf was blowing down their houses! But the sun has been shining all day and the temperature has been comfortable. So that is a very good thing. I am waiting on spring!

A Beautiful Day!!!

Aren't these little turtles the cutest things! I woke up at 7:30 this morning with the sound of the birds chirping...was it because I get up so early during the week to head to work or was it because SPRING IS AROUND THE CORNER!!!!! I opt for the later. I had the most wonderful walk, just me and my camera. I saw the first robin, obviously because I have not been paying attention lately. I think they are around our area all the time. I seen 2 red-headed woodpeckers, several back-capped chicadees, red cardinals, blue jays, blue birds, mockingbirds, wrens, squirrels. It was great! The air was so fresh....well as fresh as it can be with all the pollution, etc.! I watched the sun come up over the house across the street. We really don't know the peacefulness we miss when we don't get up and get out before alot of people WAKE UP and get moving. I seen an older man outside wiping his truck down with some cleaner and a cloth, one just walking in his yard. Nice........
Had lunch with Nick yesterday. It was so nice to see him, since we don't see him often enough. He got a truck yesterday, Toyota Tacoma. He is happy. Natasha has a weekend with no children, she is happy. I think we are happy right now! Well, will try to post more later. Nick is bring me a dog kennel so I can make the one I have bigger for Hanzo. Woo-Hoo, as soon as the night weather warms up a bit and I can trust him to stay in the kennel while we are not here, OUT HE GOES. I can deal with Miss Kitty in the house, she don't care if you are here or not, but Hanzo wants all the attention all the time! Off to lunch with Mom and a relaxing break at Atlanta Bread Company! ITS ALL GOOD!

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Little Reagan's foot is so cute. You just want to kiss it. Look at her big toe! She is so pretty. Just sleeps right through all the choas and noise at her house. Natasha calls it a circus! Dakota never "lights" anywhere and Allyssa wants to play her cd player at the highest volume and the same cd over and over, (Taylor Swift). But is don't seem to bother little Reagan!
Had the scan to check my gall bladder today. It came back negative. So now I am being referred to a gastroenterologist on February 20. It's good that it is not my gall bladder but I am having pain and it is coming from something.....
Had lunch with Mom today and then we went to Atlanta Bread Company for a Kona Mocha Cafechillo. Mainly we just went to talk in a rather "quiet" surrounding. We sat by the fire place (gas logs) but is was really nice. No where to go, did not have to be in a hurry.
Nice.........
Finished a scrapbook page I had almost completed, but had to add a few little touches to make it complete in my mind. So now I need to start another one. Thinking about a page with a picture of Deborah and me when we were around 1 and 3 in that order.
Need to do a birth page on Reagan's birth too.....

You're only 7!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, while we (me, Allyssa, Mom, Deborah, Asheton and Zach) were at TJ Maxx browsing, (Asheton wanted to purchase Deborah a birthday present) Allyssa is looking at all things "girly" and had been walking around with all of us at one time or the other. At the time of this little tale, she had been "looking" with Mom. She came over to me, while I was looking at t-shirts and said "Nana, can you buy me this?" Of course, she is all the time wanting you to buy her things. She already had a little pink pocketbook with the word "princess" on it that had 3 little lip glosses hanging on a key chain from the strap. I was not really expecting what she was holding and as I looked down at her and at the same time saying something to the effect that she was not getting anything else when she holds up this "size A" (possibly) cup padded (I might add) multi-colored polka-dot BRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I held back my giggle because I did not want to appear uncaring(!) I said, "Allyssa, what are you going to do with that? You don't have anything to go in it and besides you are only 7 years old." She said, "But I want it Nana. Hailey Gilbert has 3 of them." By this time, I am trying to come up with something to say to make her understand that she did not need it. I told her that she needed to put it back and as she turned around to go I remembered I had my camera so I told her to wait a minute so I could take her picture. She turns around and this is the picture I got. Is she cute or what holding her little padded bra?!!!! She looked at me and said, "Nana, you better not scrapbook this"! Naturally, I told her I wouldn't! (with my fingers crossed!) I told her to take it to Deborah and ask her about it, (which really got me out of coming up with another reason why she did not need a PADDED BRA at 7). She is so funny, but so cute. Of course, she did wait 4 extra years before she brought up the idea of a bra which is much better that her mother.
I had gotten a bag of clothes from a friend of mine when Natasha was around 3 years old. Accidentally, the friend had a baby sister who had thrown in a spandex "training" bra. As I was going through the shirts, Natasha found the bra and put it on. She asked me if she could wear it and I told her no. A couple of days later, I got a call from her teacher at daycare (who was a friend of mine) and she asked me if I knew Natasha had wore a training bra to day care! Of course, I knew, DON'T ALL 3 YEAR OLD HAVE BOOBIES THAT NEED A TRAINING BRA!!!!!!! I told her no I did not know it, she must have put it on before she got dressed! I had forgotten about the conversation that we had had previously....I don't know what ever happen to that bra.
And to answer your question, yes I am going to scrapbook the padded bra incident, Allyssa. That's what I do best is find ways to embarass you when you get older!!!!!!! You will thank me later!!!!! Your welcome! I love that little girl!
I go in the morning for another test, some sort of scan, to look at my gall bladder more. I have to be there at 7:30 am, check in at 8:00 am. Bring something to read or look at the nurse says, because there is a lot of sitting. The test is at a minimum 1 hour and 45 minutes. Can I sleep I wanted to say! I think I should have been a cat! Would that not be the life, eat, poop and sleep all day long and then sleep all night, (if you are an indoor cat)! I would want to be an indoor cat. I would even endure the pain of being declawed to be able to stay in the house, look outside at the flying things that dip in the water right outside the window. What are those things, they just fly around and take baths!!!!! And if I was an indoor cat, I would not have to worry about getting run over in the street. There are so many mean people out that that just want to run over one of us just for laughs! Yes, I would be safe in the house. I would give up chasing those little fling things that dip in the water right outside my window!!!!! Just keep my litter box clean and fresh food and water please!

This weekend Allyssa went Friday and Saturday night with us. She went to church and lunch with us today and then we dropped her off by her house after lunch. We had a great time. Of course, I see more and more how INDEPENDENT she is becoming. Do I like that????? Well, really I do, but I like being able to make decisions for her too. She is a mess. Growing up too, too fast. Dakota is always wanting to know where she is when she is not at home with her. Reagan is 5 weeks old now and at this point don't care about anybody except who is going to feed her and change her!!! Yesterday was my little sister's birthday, how old are you again, Deb????? Linda Bunch asked me Friday night at the varity girl's basketball game who was the oldest between us! I told her you!!!!!! LOL!!!! And speaking of INDEPENDENT Asheton who is being attacked by the grinch will be 16 in February and of course, thinks she is 25. Boy, kids just don't know what they world is like when they are responsible for bills and working all the time......! I really need to start doing this blogging thing more often again. I am having another test Tuesday (had a ultrasound done last week) to further check my gall bladder. I am having alot of pain bt the ultrasound did not show any gall stones :-). But the pain is coming from somewhere, right????? Well,I am getting a little hungry. Let's go see what I can find in the kitchen! Later!

What a weekend!

This little beauty is what we waited all day this past Saturday for! Isn't she adorable?!!!! This is our newest granddaughter, Allyssa's and Dakota's sister, Reagan Phoenix. Born Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 8:36 pm. Weighing in at a big whopping 7 lbs. and 20 inches long. She is a beauty. Allyssa wants to hold her all the time and Dakota is not sure about her at all!
Christmas came and went in a big blur. Reagan was born and then there was New Year's Day. We ate lunch at Mom and Dad's house. Then we went to my brother, Wayne and his wife Tina's house. Played bowling on the Wii for a couple of hours and then came home. It is time to settle back into a routine. We had Allyssa's 7th birthday party tonight at Natasha and Randy's house. It is hard to believe that seven years ago she was born weighing in at 3 lbs. 7.5 oz. She was 2 months early, but she is a perfect little angel. 7 years old, man the time flies. Been wanting to scrapbook lately and just have not had the time. Trying my hand at artist trading cards now too. Pretty cool and fun to make and the best part is you can finish one in about 15 minutes, woo-hoo! Well, gotta get going. Work tomorrow and it is suppose to be a COLD 16 degrees in the morning. Brrrrrrrr

Migraine, Yuck...

I have had a migraine all day and nothing is getting rid of it. I don't have them enough to have prescribed meds so I take Aleve which I had on hand or Tylenol. Terrible!
Elmo (melmo as Dakota calls him) is trying to be detained by Tinkerbell, not sure where they came in contact with each other in "time" but they now live in the same household. Elmo is Dakota and of course, Allyssa is Tinkerbell. This was at the Fall Festival at church this year. They both were soooo cute!
Now they, or should I say, Allyssa is waiting on Santa since Dakota has no concept of Santa and from last year's santa pics and her meeting him again the other day, she does not want any part of him. Boy she just doesn't know what he can do! Magic, Magic! We watched The Santa Clause 3 the other night. It was good to me, not nearly as good as the first one or the second one for that matter, BUT I liked it because it was a Christmas movie. I like christmas movies. And another reason it was not as good, WHERE WAS BERNARD THE HEAD ELF AND JUDY THE COCOA GIRL?????????????????? I hate it when sequels are made and every one from the prior movies are not in their. Just like Grease, I was not even interested in Grease 2 because Olivia Newton John and John Travolta and the rest of the cast was not in there!!!!!
Work is the same, but I did go over my supervisor's head (since I had already told him the problem and he has known for nearly a year now) and told the VP of Manuf. what was going on. So I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that my supervisor is talking to me alot more, getting me away from demon co-worker as much as possible and was told by the VP that my job was not in jeopardy. Which is a good thing, I think. Of course, you never know what they might do tomorrow, right?
We are still waiting on Little Savannah, who is taking her own good time coming into this world. Actual due date is December 25, but we are so wanting her NOW. All in God's timing of course. Well, guess I had better get off of here and I will try to be a little more consistent with my posting!

Positive Wednesday...

I have been having a little difficulty posting my pictures here of late, so I your not going to see any, duh! Anyway, I watched the DVD The Secret last night and I have been trying to apply it to myself. I have been thinking positive all day long which I should say has made my day better. I have to train myself to think like that all the time which in my case sometimes can be very hard to do! Yes I still have the demon co-worker and yes I still have the stress in my life, but I am coming to realize that there is no one or nothing out there that can help me but myself and if I am happy with myself then I have the first step down pat! Right? Yes I do need to loose weight and I have been my worst critic on everything I do, my teeth are not perfectly straight nor are they pearly white but that is ok, my life is not stress free, I don't have all the money it takes to meet all the monthly bills, but as long as I can be happy with myself that's ok. So with all that said, I feel better!
I went to church tonight and met mom. I went by and picked up the girls and they went with me. Allyssa loves her Wednesday night class and Dakota stays with Mom and me in the nursery since she is too little for a class. Dakota is running around 90 miles an hour AT ALL TIMES. She never slows down. Natasha is dialated 2 cms and has been all week, she does not feel good today. Little Savannah is about ready to come into this great big world, boy she does not know what she is in store for, does she? Of course, God has a plan and she is another part of it. He has a plan for all of us. Allyssa and Dakota are ready for her, woo-hoo!
Vincent is waiting on word of a new job he has applied for at US Food Services. He will be driving a trailer making deliveries, will probably be gone 2 days a week, but right now it is where the money is so GO, GO, GO.
Asheton, my beautiful niece, won 2nd place in her high school pageant over the weekend, woo-hoo Asheton. We are so proud of her.
Well, guess I had better get off of here, I have a couple more christmas cards to hand-stamp and I am running out of time!!!!
L8tr!

Hi...

It's been awhile since I have been on here...sorry...just have not felt up to getting on the computer. The holidays always adds extra stress on me not that I don't have enough...but I am trying to do better. Trying not to worry about the things I cannot change or do anything about anyway..that is hard to do.
Thanksgiving has come and gone. We had a great time at Mom and Dad's house. The meal was scrumptious. Everyone was there except Wayne and his family who were hosting his mother-in-law and a special friend and Tina's grandmother.
We went shopping on Black Friday. Went to Kohl's first, that was a total disaster. The checkout lines were wrapped around the inside of the store on both sides going in opposite directions. We very nicely scooted out of there without a thing and then headed to Walmart. There was not a whole lot there either that I was interested in. We left there and went to Haywood Mall where Mom and Deborah found some things that they wanted. Me? still nothing. It is not so much fun when you don't have children to shop for. I do have Allyssa and Dakota and maybe the new little one but I have not decided what to get them. I had better be making my mind up pretty soon though or it will be too late!
Went to the dentist with this tooth that has been nearly killing me for the past 1 1/2 months. Final result, a root canal that has to be done the end of January. Since the dentist needs to get the pre-estimate from my insurance company to make sure they will pay for it, in the mean time I have pain medication and an antibiotic to take. More medication, just what I need....but at least the pain will be subsiding, woo-hoo. There is nothing, well maybe a couple of things, that I can thing of that the pain is worse that a toothache!
Well, guess I had better get going. Work at 6:00 am, yuck!

When can I eat you....

This seems to be what Miss Kitty is thinking in her mind. Elliott of course just wants to aggravate her, peck her nose or try to pull her hair out. Just like siblings! Miss Kitty is a good sport about it all. She is the oldest animal member of our family. Then she acquired a brother german shepherd Hanzo who is 8 months old and looks like he is full grown and then she acquired brother or sister Elliott (assuming he is a boy). They both aggravate her. Hanzo has to chase her every time he comes back in the house.
We are getting ready to head to "our" lake house to winterize 2 jet skis for the winter. The lake house actually belongs to a customer of Vincent's but we have spent so much time there this past summer that we kinda of "inherited" it for our own. Pretty neat, huh and we have to house payment!!!!!! This is going to be an 8 hour job and of course my loving dear husband wanted to get an "early" start so we could get back before dark!!!!! Here is is 11:00 and we have not left yet. Lateness not on my part of course, I have been ready since 10:00. So I have been looking at my favorite blog site right now, lovelife. Kal is just so down to earth and you never know what she is going to write about, mostly her work, but it is interesting.
It has been a while since I have posted due to several different things. I did post the sunday we got back from the beach trip, a long one. But of course, I hit the wrong button and POOF! it was gone and I did not feel like retyping all of that at the time. So I will try to give little bits and pieces of it in the next several blogs. The weather was beautiful while we were down there. We had a great time with my brother Wayne and his wife, Tina and their daughters, Courtney and Lauren, both of whom are teenagers. Mom and a friend of the family, Alpha, ended up down there at the same time so we had dinner with them one night. Well, gotta go for now. Grab my coffee and head out the door, FINALLY!

18 hours and on my way.....

This time tomorrow night we will be at the beach. I cannot wait. This little beauty in the picture (Allyssa) will not be able to go with us. In fact, she does not even know that we are going. If she did, she would have a fit. We did not tell her for that very reason. She is escorting Braydon, (the little boy in my previous posts that likes her and aggravates the mess out of her) at his homecoming football game. And if she knew we were going to the beach she would say FORGET THE HOMECOMING GAME, I am going with Papa and Nana! She loves the beach. This picture was taken during her first beach trip in February, 2005. Then we went back in July of the same year and took her and Natasha with us. Natasha was pregnant with Dakota at the time. She is now pregnant with Savannah Rayne (I hope that is the way Natasha decides to spell it) due December 25.
Not much going on here. Today was Vincent's 50th birthday. We didn't have the big celebration yet, #1 because we are leaving for the beach tomorrow and #2 because money is playing a big issue right now on everybody's part. So we are celebrating his birthday within the next 2 weeks, birthday cake and all! He had a great day. A bunch of people either called him or texted him wishing him happy birthday and he received 2 handmade birthday cards. One from my Mom and one from the church we are attending at the present time. They both are beautiful.
We took Hanzo to his temporary home until Monday. He is staying with the guy who has a german shepherd from the first litter of Hanzo's mom. Hanzo is the second litter. I really miss him. Hope he is doing ok.
Talked to Wayne and Tina who are already at the beach and they said the weather was nice right now. Hope it stays that way. But even if it don't I am going to be in RELAXATION mode. Atleast until Sunday when we come back. Just a short trip.
Well, gotta go get started packing and yes it is 10:00 PM and I have not done it yet and we are leaving when I get off of work at 3:30 tomorrow.......what am I waiting for....I need to get going!

High on the Feel Good Ladder....

Today was a really good day on the "feel good" ladder. If every day could be this good or better! I had a couple of things on the back burner that were kinda in limbo and still are to a certain point but I am a little closer to reality. Biggest one is that we may have found some land in Marietta, SC, about 3-5 miles northwest? of Travelers Rest. There are still some nuts and bolts to finalize: price, how much (between 2-5 acres), etc. but at least it is in the works. We haven't told anyone about it because everything is not ironed out yet. What the overall plan is is to pay the land off then build a house on it. Not sure what size or plans for the house right now.
Had a good day at work. I mentioned yesterday about wearing the one ear plug in my right ear, right? Well, it was not working really well and I mentioned it to one of my co-workers, who politely told me that I was suppose to pinch it together then roll it between my forefinger and thumb then insert it in my ear and then it explands (ever so gently, remind you) to the contour of my ear. What a great big difference that made. Of course, I totally felt like an idiot because I have been walking around with the ear plug poking half way out of my ear and I thought that it was because they are initially ordered for the guys in our buffing department because of the noise and they have BIG EARS!!!!! Yes I have to laugh at myself which I do rather frequently nowadays!
Would it not be nice to be as carefree as Allyssa is in the top picture? I took this picture at Dakota's birthday party. Braydon, Randy's nephew, who is about 5 years old was keeping the football from Allyssa and she, being the sweet little angel that she is, just turned around and ran back to the swing as if she did not have a care in the world, except of course for "a little boy who likes me and is trying to keep the football from me, because I am a girl and he thinks I cannot throw it"!
Then there is Dakota and Allyssa (anxiously waiting for her piece of cake). Allyssa eats just the icing off the cake and now Dakota is doing the same thing.
The picture of Dakota running.....well, she had just received this Elmo plush blanket and she did not even get it unfolded before she took off at a big run to Allyssa's room, turns the tv on (because she knows that is what Allyssa does when she goes to bed) and jumps on the bottom bunk bed and lays there!!!!! Everybody else is wondering what she is doing. She is such a baby doll. She finally came back in to the living room to open the rest of her gifts. If it was clothes she would look at them, drop them and head for the next gift until she opened a baby doll, or walmart stroller or her last gift was a Radio Flyer Tricycle from Papa Bob and Mema Linda.
Well, I am out of time again.....

Yuck, Yuck Monday.....

Why are Mondays so yucky? Today was not a good day at all. I was not feeling very good, nauseated, overall terrible, terrible. Had a small bag of pretzels and half a pepsi for first break, felt nauseated still, but hungry at lunch. Actually skipped lunch per se, but did eat another small bag of pretzels, drank the other half of the pepsi and sit there looking at a newspaper catalog of books for no more than $4.95. All kinds of books and some DVDs, CDs, James Patterson was one of the authors I seen alot of; religion, history, travel, fiction, non-fiction, children, etc. Still don't feel too much better. Had an anxiety attack a couple of times but did not take anything for it.
Mainly just tried to talk myself out of them. Which is not easy to do when the demon co-worker is trying to see if she can play her radio louder than mine and let me tell you, you can barely hear mine. I wear an ear-plug in my right ear, that is the side she is on. Can she not see the neon green THING sticking out of my ear and wonder what the heck it is there for, or maybe she does see it and wants to make my life as miserable as she can from 7:00 a.m. UNTIL 3:30 p.m. which sometimes seems like a 12 hour shift. I wanted to stuff that radio of hers where the sun don't shine and hope that the sun never comes out!
Okay, I am back to normal for right now.
The picture at the top is the chocolate fountain I was referring to yesterday in my blog. Goodness, I can taste it now. The other picture is of Mom (in chocolate-covered cherry heaven for a brief moment!) As you can see from the look on her face why I had such a hard time dragging her away. I mean the other customers in the store wanted to try it too!!!!! I am laughing too hard right now. I'm just kidding mom.
Actually I think we all three went back 2 or 3 times! It was sooooo goooooddddddd.
I came home from work, let Hanzo out and fed him, sit on the couch for about 30 minutes, ate dinner and then played with Hanzo with an old t-shirt for a while, came in, watched about 30 minutes of tv and then came in here and checked e-mails, blogs. Of course, in between times I have been up and down, taking Hanzo out to go to the bathroom, talking to Vincent, folding a load of clothes and now getting ready to rap this up and head to the shower so get ready bed just to start over tomorrow.
Texted Natasha during the day (yes while I was at work and trying not to get caught) about a couple of things that I was not to happy about yesterday at Dakota's party. You know the different lives everyone leads once they "leave the nest". Of course, I succeeded in making her a little irritable at me, Wayne texted me to touch base about this weekend beach trip, texted Mom to ask her about the Carver christmas party and that is about it. What an EXCITING LIFE I LEAD!
Well, guess I had better get off of here,

L8TR!
