These girls make my day. Their laughter is contagious. Allyssa is showing me, in the first pic, her blowing a bubble with her gum, woo-hoo. Dakota is trying to hide from me and giggling like crazy in the next photo and the next two are of my baby girls almost relaxing! Sometimes they are the only ones who bring me out of my blues which here lately have been daily. Between hot weather, bills, a satan co-worker, and just plain out being tired, tired, tired, I can't get a break. By the time I get home from work, I don't feel like doing anything or going anywhere. I usually get them on Wednesdays and Fridays after I get off of work. Friday is one of Natasha's late nights so it is usually 7:15 before she gets here to pick them up, and let me tell you I am really worn out by then! But then when they are gone, I miss them like crazy. We have not really have any rain to amount to anything in a week or so. We have had little sprinkles every now and then, but that is all.

I am proud to announce that Miss Kitty is 110% better. The local Animal Shelter announced last week that there had been an outbreak of feline distemper running rapidly through Greenville County and another nearby county. Miss Kitty is not an outdoor cat, but occassionally we let her out for about 30 minutes to "get a breath of fresh air". Well, that one time we let her out, she got sick. I thought she might have been biten by some other animal, (snake, oppossum) but then when I found out the symptoms of the distemper, she had all of them. Of course, she had it 3 weeks before they announced it, hmmmmmmm????!!!!!! Why did the vet not suspect it? Don't know, but she is so much better and back to her old self. I thought we were going to loose her for a while. Of course, she is happier too b/c I switched her food from Friskies (could it have been the food?) back to her Iams with hairball control. She loves that food!

Hanzo is 4 1/2 months old now, growing like a week, ALL PUPPY. We have a kiddy pool in his kennel so when he goes out for the afternoon, (after I get home) he can cool off. He also have a 3 gal. galvanized bucket for his drinking water that I refresh every day. He sits there and "digs at the water" in the bucket until there is no more DRINKING WATER. We are trying to train him not to do that, if he empties the bucket there is no more drinking water. Does he care, apparently not, b/c he still does it. Crazy dog! He stays in his inside kennel during the day when we are at work and at night. I put him out in the morning in his 10x10 kennel until Vincent gets ready to leave for work, then his brings him in. Pretty lucky dog actually, he stays in the house with the air conditioning!

Well, guess I had better go for now, will try to post again tomorrow and get back into a more consistent pattern again. It is just so hard when you are tired!!!!!!!

Nothing going on....

Nothing going on here right now. On the even kil other than it is hot. We had a sudden storm and when I say sudden, I mean like within minutes, the wind started blowing HARD, yes the scary kind of wind, I looked out the window and was going out to get Hanzo, the pup, and as I opened the back glass door, I thought for a second I was in Kansas with Dorothy!!!!! I seen the corner of Hanzo's fence/pen come up, I ran faster and as I got to the pen to open the gate the whole pen (10x10) came down on both of us. If I had not been home and he was in the pen he probably would have been killed. Of course, he was none-for-the-wear b/c I took the blunt of the pen trying to hold it off of him and trying to soothe him down b/c he was panicking big time. I have a bruise/knot on my left forearm and my upper body is sore, but I survived. (super-woman!!!!). Called for more of it today, but it passed up by, thank goodness. Picked up the granddaughters today until Natasha got off of work. Took some pics, but have not downloaded them yet, some of Allyssa blowing a bubble with her bubble gum for the first time, Dakota trying to hide from me so I could not take her picture, some close up pics of an oriental lily we have, a red dianthus, some phlox and a "green" bug on my trumpet tree (Bush). Well, gotta go get ready for bed. Haven't been sleeping well the last couple of days. Have had a bad cough, congestion, sore throat and plain ole' not feeling good. Holla back tomorrow!

VBS is over for a year!

Ok, VBS is over until next year. I am glad really. It has not been fun this year. Too much rushing around for me with the getting the girls ready and all. Dealing with Miss Kitty, working, TIRING. Going to have sushi tonight and just relax. Miss Kitty is a little bit more active, but still not eating that I can see, she is drinking a little, I am still giving her the antibiotic though. Hopefully by Monday, she will be feeling a little better. She is wanting to go outside, which is a good sign that she might be on the road to recovery. I hope so. Cleaned house this morning, had lunch with my completely worn-out Mom; had a spur of the moment thought to run by The Scrapbook Company on the way home, got a package of brads, and 2 sheets of tag embellishments, not much more interested me today. Came home, cut grass took a shower and took a little nap. Gotta go for now.

One more day!

Well, we have one more day of VBS. It has literally worn me out this year. I took Miss Kitty to the vet today. As of this writing, it seems she has been biten by something. She is on an antibiotic, was given iv fluids, a shot for her vomiting and some bland (but tasty according to the vet), don't ask me if she has tasted it, cat food. If she is not better in the AM, I am suppose to take her back for blood work, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I sure hope she is better. I worried about her all day while I was at work. Afraid of what I would find when I got home, but there she was in our bedroom, (where she has spent most of her time the last 3 days). Well, short post tonight. I am getting ready to hit the sack!

This has been a tiring week!

We have had Vacation Bible School all week and it has been tiring. Getting up at 5:00 am, get dressed, let the puppy out and feed and water him, (Vincent lets him back in before he goes to work) get to work at 6:00 am, off at 3:30 pm, pick the girls up at daycare at 3:45 pm, get home 4:00-4:15 pm, come in, let the puppy out, give him food and water, put him in his kennel, wash up, get clean clothes on, bring the puppy back in and back out the door at 5:00 pm, at church at 5:30 pm to eat a light dinner, VBS from 6:00 pm til 8:30 pm, take girls home and then I get home at 9:00-9:15 pm. Get ready for bed, try to wash or dry clothes, whichever I did not get a chance to do when I walked in at 4:00, get ready for bed, go to bed at 10:00 pm and start all over again the next morning. That is just exhausting typing and I am living it too. 2 more days.........I am off to bed now (a little early, woo-hoo) On top of all that my little kitty-cat, Miss Kitty, is not feeling well and I have to take her to the vet tomorrow at 4:45, $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Hope she gets to feeling better.

Hump Day!

This past weekend I was talking to my brother Wayne. And somehow we got on the subject of where Natasha was born. He kept saying that she was born at Greenville Memorial Hospital and I was saying that she was born at Greenville General Hospital. If I am remembering correctly, (and as you can see from the photo, I am so far!) she was one of the last babies born at GGH, because GMH started delivering babies in January, 1983. I knew I was right anyway because I remembered that Natasha and Nicholas were born at 2 different hospitals. Nick was not born until 1986. Now that that is settled......
Today was a fairly good day at work. Still working beside She-Devil, but we are still not talking and I do not intend on ever talking to her again. But my work day goes by fine. Probably better now that I don't have to listen to her blah, blah, blah all day long.
Did not have to get the girls today. Randy picked them up since he was off today. Allyssa is still attending basketball camp and is having a good time from what I hear. The weather is still hot here and probably will be for the next 3 months, usually lasts through September. Still dreaming of the beach and envying all the vacationers that are down there right now having a good time :-(
Guess I had better get going I have a few things that need to be done and if I don't do them now, they will not get done!!!!!

Hot and more Hot....

The first picture is Vincent with Allyssa and Dakota at Frankie's Fun Park and the second one is of the waves crashing over the rocks at Venice Beach, CA, from last year's vacation. I sure would love to be sitting on one of those rocks right now. What is it about the beach that beacons us to come to it? Is it the way the waves just roll to shore so gracefully, or the way the water runs back into the vast sea of water, or maybe the sense of being so small when you look out over the ocean....I don't know what it is, but is it beaconing me real hard right now.....but there is no way I can get away to go right now....maybe before summer is over. Not much going on right now, just settling down to get to bed and start another day tomorrow. Allyssa is going to basketball camp at church this week and vacation bible school is next week. Not looking forward to the rush, rush of things for next week, i will be totalled worn out by Friday. Gotta go! :-)
